Leading trade paint brand Johnstone’s is continuing to expand its already formidable range with the launch of its new Anti Slip Flortred product.
Johnstone’s Anti Slip Flortred has been tested in accordance with HSE BS7976 Parts 1-3, the national independent watchdog for health and safety, and scores highly under the Pendulum test values, boasting an extremely low slip potential classification in both wet and dry conditions.
With slips and trips proving to be one of the most common hazards in the workplace, the product’s highly durable semi-gloss finish has a light aggregate for maximum slip resistance.
Resistant to mild chemicals, water, oil and grease, this product is perfect for use on concrete, steel and wooden flooring in areas with high slip risk, such as doorways, walkways, ramps and steps. The product’s semi-gloss finish provides an attractive alternative to a gloss finish.
Correct application of this product is crucial to the success of the lasting finish that it will provide. Applied with a brush or roller, it will cover at the rate of approximately 10-12 square metres per litre depending on the nature of the surface being painted. Touch dry in 2-4 hours and recoatable in 16-24, this product provides the ideal solution for high traffic environments that require a quick turnaround.
In order to achieve an optimum finish, the first coat may be thinned with up to 5% by volume of Johnstone’s TC2 Thinner and Cleaner and allowed to dry overnight if two coats are required.
